Black Dog Kayak Tour
Join Black Dog Storage & Kayak Rentals and The Hop Brewery for a summer morning on Rend Lake, followed by lunch and local craft beer.
We’ll meet at Black Dog on Sunday, July 19, where a local guide will assess the day’s wind, water, and lake conditions before recommending the best paddling route. Rather than committing to one trail in advance, we’ll let local knowledge and safe conditions shape the adventure.
Bring your own kayak, or reserve a rental through Black Dog. After the paddle, we’ll return to Black Dog for a relaxed lunch featuring THB beer, good company, and a chance to trade stories from the water.

The selected route and schedule may change based on lake and weather conditions. Participants should be comfortable paddling, wear a properly fitted life jacket, and follow the guide’s safety recommendations.
Alcohol will be served only after the paddling portion of the event.
