THB Family Brewery Tour #1 (by Amtrak)
We’ll meet in Du Quoin for a round and appetizers at St. Nicholas Brewery, ride the train to Centralia to visit Colden Brewery, then take the evening train back.
Schedule (Central Time)
3:00 PM — Meet up at St. Nicholas Brewery (Du Quoin) for drinks + appetizers
4:36 PM — Train departs Du Quoin → Centralia
5:07 PM — Arrive Centralia, visit Colden Brewery
8:34 PM — Return train departs Centralia → Du Quoin
9:07 PM — Arrive back in Du Quoin
Note: From experience, the southbound return can run late—please plan accordingly.
Important: Everyone books and pays their own:
-Amtrak ticket: you book your own travel (coach, business, etc.)
-Food + beverages: pay your own tabs at each stop
How to book your train:
Book a round-trip ticket: Du Quoin (DQN) ⇄ Centralia (CEN)
Choose the departure around 4:36 PM and return around 8:34 PM (times listed above).
What to bring:
-THB apparel, of course
-Valid ID
-Your Amtrak ticket (on your phone)
-A light layer (train temps vary)
-Comfortable shoes
-A relaxed pace and a good attitude
